We have China, who put strict regulations on controlling wanted pregnancies. They did fucked up shit like forced abortions even up to 9 months & killed infants once born by drowning them while their mothers watched.
Some women abandoned their infant girls and the orphanages became heavily overburdened with them. I remember seeing documentaries on it, and one scene in particular really stood out to me. It was towards the end of a documentary, where they discovered that newborn infants were being placed in closets with thin blankets over their face so they wouldnt cry..
Move over to Romania. They did the opposite. They did what the US is trying to do, but to an even higher extreme. Birth control and abortion was outlawed. Their leader ordered women to have at least 5 children. Their economy sank, food shortages occurred, and children were dumped in orphanages. The orphanages became difficult to manage and thousands of children suffered growing up in an institutional setting with no families to provide them with care that would help them to thrive, just exist.
Meet Izidor Ruckel. He was one of those Romanian children who was rescued and adopted by an American couple. He later became an advocate for the children left in Romania and continues to work on efforts to improve the lives of orphans living in orphanages.

Here is the documentary from 1990: https://izidorruckel.com/meet-izidor/take-me-to-america/
I cant recall if it was the Chinese orphanages or the Romanian ones, but one of them had children literally locked into potty chairs from the time they woke up to the time they went to sleep. No human contact because there wasnt the resources to provide adequate care.
prolife says abortions are inhumane.
I say forced birth is inhumane.
We may disagree on the morality of abortion, but one thing I think we can agree on is that these children lives mattered and they did not deserve to be treated so inhumanely, worse than dogs, worse than farm animals.
prolife likes to call us murderers. As if we have no morals and care nothing for the sanctity of human life. I care very deeply for the sanctity of human life. Which is why I support abortion. Not just for the rights of women to not have their bodies used against their will, but for the well being of the children once they are born, the well being of our country as a whole.
"In 2015, 638,169 legal induced abortions were reported to CDC" https://www.cdc.gov/reproductivehealth/data_stats/abortion.htm
Our foster care system is barely able to handle the children it has in it right now. Throwing 638,169 more kids into it every. single. year. will be a detrimental mistake. Not just for the the yet to be born, but for the already born.
I know it leaves a sour taste in a lot of peoples mouths, but the truth of it is that abortion is one of the tools in our arsenal that will allow for all of us, including these children, to have a higher quality of living. I do not believe in life for lifes sake. Life isnt about quantity, its about quality.
I have two questions. Feel free to respond to both or just one if you like.
1. How do you justify quantity over quality?
2. If we ban abortion, what do you think it will do to your country's infrastructure?
